Hi,

I need to install jserver in my oracle 10g database.I have made the java_pool_size =40m in my init ora file and shared_pool_size is 60m.I ran the script initjvm.sql as sysdba. But it throws an error saying that

ora-04031:Unable to allocate 1036 bytes of shared memory("shared
pool","select /*rule*/.....)
ora-06512: error at line 4

Please help. How to install jserver in 10g.What is the prerequisites to install jserver?
thanks in advance.

By reading the fine Installation Guide found at http://tahiti.oracle.com & following its directions.

Based upon what Oracle documentation did you conclude this was an appropriate value?
