Hi,
I have a standby database in which i usually apply the archive logs.
I have decided to open the database to do some testing.
Am using this command which worked well with another server:

SVRMGR> alter database activate standby database;
alter database activate standby database
*
ORA-07360: sfifi: stat error, unable to obtain information about file.
IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 2: No such file or directory

can you please help.

Thanks,

Dirish

ORA-01157 errors are usually followed by ORA-01110 and possibly an Oracle operating system layer error such as ORA-07360. A DBWR trace file is generated in the background_dump_dest directory.
