I am receving this error when I am connecting client 8 with server 8. server windiws 2003 and clieint windows 2000.

ORA-12224: TNS: no listener

When I run this command

c:>lsnrctl start
Lisneter has already been started.

Check if you have done the settings correct at the client side.

Check the following:

> HOST NAME
> PORT NO
> SERVICE NAME

hi,
try to check

set ur TNS_ADMIN enviourment variable.

on command prompt.
cmd>set TNS_ADMIN=oraclehome/network/admin
