HELLO
WE HAVE AN ORACLE 9I DATABASE SE ON WINDOWS 2000 SERVER ( HOST A )
AND WE HAVE AN ORACLE APPLICATION SERVER 9I SE ALSO ( HOST B )
WE ARE PLANNING TO UPGRADE THE DATABASE SERVER TO 10G EE, AND THE APPLICATION SERVER IS ONLY NEEDED
TO HOST OUR WEB APPLICATION
DO WE NEED TO UPGRADE THE APPLICATION SERVER TO 10G EE AS WELL ??

Upto you.
We tested 10g database against 9IAS and works good.
But you must be aware 9iAS is old and will be desupported soon.
So better upgrade your iAS also!.
