Here is exactly how I ran setup.exe to install Oracle Database 10g on Windows 2003 Server R2:
- Launched Setup.exe
- Selected �Basic Installation�
- Let the �Oracle Home Location� to be C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Db_1
- �Installation Type� was grayed with �Enterprise Edition�
- Asked to �Create Starter Database� and provided the �Global Database Name� to be �oracle.nervana.com� with a password
- Installer informed that there are 169 products to be installed before carrying on
- Installer performed 3 stages:
1. Installation (extracting files to oracle home location)
2. setup
3. configuration
What happened during configurations:
Every Thing went fine untill
Enterprise manager configuration failed due to the following error-
Error starting Database control could not be started successfully
You can retry configuring this database with Enterprise Manager later by manually running C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Db_1\bin\emca script.
The following was the End of Installation summary:
The following J2EE Applications have been deployed and are accessible at the URLs listed below.
Your database configuration files have been installed in C:\oracle\product\10.1.0 while other components selected for installation have been installed in C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Db_1. Be cautious not to accidentally delete these configuration files.

WHOEVER CAN HELP ME PLEASE DO IT NEXT FRIDAY.
[mod-edit] removed demanded time constraint and changed it to one that suits me.
